Patient Rights & Duties
To ensure the comfort of our patients and provide the best possible service, the hospital administration has defined a set of rights and duties that the patient and their family must follow.
Patient Rights
- Receive care without discrimination in race, gender, nationality, age, or religious/political beliefs, while respecting dignity and cultural values.
 - Obtain necessary information about medical conditions with privacy and attention.
 - Freedom to choose their treating doctor from the hospital's approved list.
 - Receive full information about treatment, benefits, alternatives, and expected symptoms (with attending physician approval).
 - Right to refuse treatment within legal limits, after understanding consequences and signing a liability waiver.
 - Privacy regarding illness and treatment.
 - Confidentiality of medical records, with access allowed for reports or file transfer with approval.
 - Right to leave hospital against physician advice with signed waiver.
 - Access to room information and use of devices (bell, TV, AC, etc.).
 - Receive visitors according to hospital policy.
 - Hospital is not responsible for personal belongings unless deposited in the preservation department.
 - Report complaints or objections to the nurse in charge, orally or in writing.
 - Receive proper instructions upon discharge from doctor or nurse.
 - Right to request help whenever needed.
 
Patient Duties
- Hand over all personal medications to the nurse unless otherwise instructed.
 - Inform nurse about contact lenses, glasses, or artificial teeth and remove if necessary.
 - Remove makeup, nail polish, and jewelry.
 - Provide complete and accurate medical history and symptoms.
 - Follow prescribed treatment and schedule; patient bears responsibility for refusing or neglecting instructions.
 - Visitors cannot sit on patient beds.
 - Do not bring outside food.
 - Children under 13 are prohibited from visiting.
 - One relative may stay overnight if needed or approved by doctor/administration (excluding ICU).
 - Complete discharge papers before 1:00 pm.
