Our History
A legacy of healthcare excellence built on vision, leadership, and a deep commitment to the community.
Foundation
Under the patronage of the President of the Lebanese Republic, Mr. Elias Al-Hrawi, the cornerstone of the Lebanese French Hospital was laid on October 2, 1993. The inauguration took place on July 18, 1996, in the presence of Mr. Al-Hrawi, the French Ambassador to Lebanon, the Ministers of Health and Agriculture, many local and international figures, and a large number of invited guests.
A New Vision
In 2000, Mr. Salim Assi acquired the hospital with the dream of contributing to the medical development of the Bekaa region and Lebanon. Under his leadership, HLF has become one of the leading healthcare providers in the area.
Expansion & Innovation
In response to the growing demand for high-quality care, an expansion project was launched in 2014. It included adding two floors to the existing building and constructing a new facility, increasing the hospital’s capacity from 85 to 132 beds. State-of-the-art operating rooms and new medical centers were also added to better serve our patients.
